Happy Summer!

• The United Church of Canada is actively engaged in a collaborative review and renewal process for ministry and ministry leadership in the Medicine Hat area;
• Westminster UC is a part of that process, and as an element of the process we are seeking to empower and fund new ministry options by decommissioning a Westminster building that is large and complex, as well as allowing the congregation who have faithfully maintained that building to direct their energy and faithfulness in new directions;
• The United Church of Canada will continue its ministries at Fifth Avenue Memorial as well as in Redcliff, Irvine, Bow Island and Foremost, while the Westminster congregation officially disbands in order to allow new ministry options to take shape from the proceeds of their property decisions.

Fifth Avenue Memorial United Church will be hosting a meeting on June 14, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:30 pm to discuss United Church ministry plans for southeastern Alberta.
